Stephen King seemed to come back to the social media platform specifically to target Trump. The renowned author, known for his chilling novels, made a surprise return to Twitter after quitting in November 2024, citing a “toxic” atmosphere.
King’s comeback post was short and direct: “I’m baaaack! Did you miss me?” Just two minutes later, he took aim at Trump and Musk, writing, “Just wanted to say that Trump is a traitorous, Putin-loving dips**t! Goes double for Elon!”
This isn’t King’s first criticism of the pair. After Trump’s election win, he claimed on Threads that Musk was “running the show” despite being ineligible for the presidency. “You know that, but it bears repeating,” he wrote.
His latest comments follow Trump’s decision to appoint Musk as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE.
