If necessary, store them in the glove box or under a seat.
Use opaque or insulated bottles that don’t let light pass through.
“Public awareness campaigns are crucial,” say fire officials. Departments are sharing warnings through social media and local news. In California, even TV stars have joined in to boost visibility of the message.
