A Kentucky mother believes she saw “the hand of God” in her baby’s ultrasound. At 32 weeks pregnant.
Amanda Foster noticed what appeared to be a large hand touching her unborn son’s head. “I’ve asked the Lord constantly to please keep His hand on my baby,” said Foster, who had prayed regularly since her son was diagnosed with a heart issue early in pregnancy. Later scans showed the problem had disappeared. “When we followed up with a specialist, it was gone,” she shared on Facebook.
Online users called the image “amazing” and “a miracle,” though some believe it was just the baby’s swollen, deformed hand during the scan. Still, Amanda and her husband Kyle saw it as a sign of divine protection.
Foster’s journey with motherhood began tragically. At 17, she lost her first son to Potter’s syndrome. “I developed a deep resentment and anger toward God,” she said. Despite giving birth to two healthy girls later, the emotional pain lingered.
She found healing in 2021 after turning to faith. “I had finally given up… when I turned my life over to Jesus Christ.” Since then, she had a healthy boy and is now expecting another, with renewed hope and gratitude.
