Max and Sam had been living with their grandmother for 11 months before the tragedy. NSW Premier Chris Minns described the event as “incomprehensible,” expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
A candlelight vigil will be held at Neilson Park in memory of the boys. Assistant Commissioner Brett Holland said, “These things shock small country towns… the death of two children is devastating.”
Police believe no one else was involved and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
