Fashion Designer Carolina Herrera, Says ‘After a Certain Age’ Wearing Jeans and Having Long Hair is Classless

One woman who is known throughout the fashion industry is giving some advice to those who wish to remain youthful, and her claim has led to quite the discussion.

A notable fashion designer named Carolina Herrera made the bold claim that “a woman must age graciously, and not try to be an age she’s not or she will look ridiculous.” She believes trying too hard to look young can backfire.

Herrera criticized women who wear revealing outfits or follow trends blindly, stating, “The worst thing is women who go out almost naked. Influencers are not the style of fashion, they are the style of money.” She added, “I don’t believe in trends because trends make it look like you’re wearing a uniform.”

The designer also commented on hair and clothing choices as women age. “At a certain age, I think most women suit shorter hair,” she said, and admitted, “I don’t wear jeans. I’m not the right age for them.”

While Herrera supports some cosmetic treatments, she warns against overdoing it. “I go to a very good person who gives me treatments and a little bit of Botox. But…why do you want [big lips]? You will look like a clown.”
