Donald Trump, during his presidency, has revoked Joe Biden’s security clearance and access to intelligence briefings. Trump stated, “There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information,” citing concerns over Biden’s “poor memory” and lack of trustworthiness with sensitive files.
Trump claims Biden set this precedent in 2021 by barring him from briefings, breaking the tradition of former presidents receiving security updates. Trump wrote, “The Hur Report revealed that Biden suffers from ‘poor memory’ and, even in his ‘prime,’ could not be trusted with sensitive information.”
Trump further distanced his presidency from Biden’s administration, removing security clearances from former CIA directors, intelligence officials, and Anthony Fauci, who led pandemic efforts under Biden. Trump defended these actions as “very standard,” aimed at protecting national security.
Additionally, Trump is reviewing the role of Mark Milley, a top military official critical of Trump. He recommended the new defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, investigate Milley’s “conduct” and consider downgrading his military grade.
Adding his signature flair, Trump referenced his TV catchphrase, declaring, “JOE, YOU’RE FIRED,” emphasizing his intent to reshape policies and usher in what he calls “America’s golden age.”
