Ellen DeGeneres has officially left the U.S., selling her $40 million Montecito estate to move to the Cotswolds, England. She described America as “too toxic, both socially and politically”, adding, “I need a place where I can breathe, think, and rediscover who I am.”

Now, she and Portia de Rossi have settled into a sprawling 18th-century manor, embracing a quieter life away from Hollywood’s glare and the controversies that followed her final years on television.
