Tom Hanks leaves Trump supporters outraged with sh0cking SNL appearance

Tom Hanks’ SNL skit appeared on the show’s 50th anniversary special and sparked backlash from Trump supporters. During the February 16 celebration, Hanks revived his ‘Doug’ character, wearing a red ‘Make America Great Again’ cap, on a parody game show called *Black Jeopardy*.

In the skit, Doug hesitated to shake host Kenan Thompson’s hand but eventually did, saying: “Don’t like that, whoa, whoa, whoa. Maybe I’ll start a show for you to come on and we’ll call it *White Jeopardy*.”

Many Trump supporters were outraged. One critic claimed Hanks was “mocking millions of Trump supporters – portraying them as dumb, racist, rednecks.” Former RFK Jr. advisor Link Lauren accused SNL of pushing a “tired trope that MAGA is racist,” calling it an “unfunny show for snobbish liberal elites.”

Supporters argued the Republican Party is now a diverse coalition. Hanks’ performance ignited debate over SNL’s humor and political bias, with some predicting: “Keep it up libs. You’ll never win another election again.”
