People noticed Donald Trump’s seemingly ‘furious’ reaction to Elon Musk during their joint interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News (18 February). Though the two showed a united front, some viewers thought Trump appeared annoyed.
During the chat, Trump revealed Musk had once called him, warning, “‘You know they’re trying to drive us apart.'” Trump agreed, calling the media’s efforts “so obvious” and adding, “I used to think they were good at it… they’re actually bad at it.”
Both men complimented each other, with Trump calling Musk “a brilliant guy” and “a very good person.” Musk returned the praise, saying, “I love the president… I think President Trump is a good man.”
However, a moment when Trump interrupted Musk to ask if he ‘liked Bobby’ (RFK Jr.) raised eyebrows. Online, people speculated that Trump was ‘mad,’ with one saying, “Donald Trump looks big mad Elon Musk was hogging the spotlight.”
Another user suggested Musk was now “in charge” and Trump was merely an “employee.” Despite these comments, Hannity said the media wanted to create a rift, while Musk insisted their relationship was strong: “The president has been so unfairly attacked… it’s really outrageous.”
