Luis Rubiales Found Guilty in Hermoso Case

Former Spanish football chief Luis Rubiales has been found guilty of kissing player Jennifer Hermoso “without her consent.”

The ex-Royal Spanish Football Federation president was fined over €10,000 (£8,274) but was acquitted of coercion. Prosecutors had sought a prison sentence.

Rubiales resigned in September 2023 and was banned from football for three years by FIFA.

The incident occurred after Spain’s “1-0” Women’s World Cup final win over England.
