Hooters Reportedly Facing Bankruptcy
Hooters, the famous restaurant chain known for its “Hooters Girls” and sports bar atmosphere, is reportedly preparing to file for bankruptcy within the next two months, sources told Bloomberg.
The chain has struggled with declining customers and has closed several locations. In 2021, Hooters sold “$300 million in bonds backed with assets.”
Founded in 1983 in Florida, Hooters grew into “an international sensation with more than 420 locations in 29 countries.” Despite financial troubles, the brand remains iconic, with its signature uniforms and sports-focused dining experience.
