Madonna’s Son David Banda Lives a Humble Life in NYC

David Banda, 18, has moved out of Madonna’s home and now lives in The Bronx with his girlfriend, Maria Atuesta. Despite his mother’s $850 million fortune, he supports himself by offering guitar lessons online.

David admits to “scavenging” for food when money is tight but enjoys his independence, saying, “I love it. I’m not on my own, I’ve got my girlfriend.”

He recently performed with Madonna on her Celebration Tour, and she has praised him as the child she relates to most, saying he “shares more of my DNA than any of my other children.”
