NEW: Trump Moves To Sell Federal Building Named After Nancy Pelosi

Government Agencies Ordered to Justify Their Purpose

Heads of “unnecessary” government agencies have 14 days to “submit a report to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget” confirming compliance and stating if their functions are legally required.

The Presidio Trust, which hasn’t received federal funding since 2013, said it will “continue to operate as normal.” In a statement, the Trust told ABC 7, “We will present a report… as required by the order” and are “confident that our activities are all statutorily-based.”

The review is part of a broader effort to assess and potentially reduce government inefficiencies.
