Michelle Trachtenberg, ‘Gossip Girl’ and ‘Buffy’ actress, found dead at 39

Michelle Trachtenberg, known for *Gossip Girl* and *Buffy the Vampire Slayer*, was found dead at 39, as per CBS News. NYPD responded to a 911 call at 8:01 a.m. Wednesday and found her unresponsive in her Manhattan home. “Criminality is not suspected,” police stated. A family representative confirmed her passing and requested privacy.

ABC News reported she had recently undergone a liver transplant and may have suffered complications. An autopsy will determine the exact cause.

Trachtenberg began acting at nine, debuting in *The Adventures of Pete & Pete*. She starred in *EuroTrip*, *Ice Princess*, *Killing Kennedy*, and *Sister Cities*.

Fans and colleagues mourn her loss. Rosie O’Donnell shared, “I loved her very much. She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.” Ed Westwick wrote, “So sad to hear of the passing of Michelle Trachtenberg. Sending prayers.”

Before her passing, she posted nostalgic photos, including one with Sarah Michelle Gellar captioned, “Slay all day!” Her last Instagram post was from the *Killing Kennedy* premiere in 2013. May she rest in peace.
