Officials have identified the hacker behind a shocking deepfake video of the president, which was broadcast across government TVs.
On Monday, employees at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) were stunned when a cafeteria TV played an AI-generated video showing Donald Trump and Elon Musk in an intimate moment. The clip, which featured Trump rubbing and kissing Musk’s feet, had a caption reading, “LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.”
Authorities have since tracked down the suspect, who was escorted from the building. A HUD spokesperson confirmed, “Legal ramifications are being explored,” and the individual may face suspension or termination.
The manipulated video quickly went viral, with viewers calling it both “funny” and “disgusting.” Some pointed out AI flaws, such as Musk appearing to have “two left feet.”
The incident comes amid controversy surrounding Musk’s role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). While the White House insists his position is voluntary, Musk recently warned federal employees they could be fired if they failed to respond to his emails. Trump defended the approach, saying there was “a lot of genius” in the idea.
