8 powerful anti-cancer foods you should start including in your diet

“The food we eat significantly impacts our well-being, providing essential nutrients and energy.” While no single food can prevent cancer, research suggests a healthy diet may lower the risk.

Cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli and kale, “contain compounds that help deactivate cancer-causing chemicals.” Turmeric, rich in curcumin, has “anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties” that may protect cells.

Mushrooms might lower the risk of prostate and breast cancer. Allium vegetables, like garlic and onions, are valued for their antioxidant effects. Wakame seaweed may also “suppress certain cancer cells,” though more studies are needed.

Lycopene-rich foods, including tomatoes, and beta-carotene sources like carrots, may offer additional protection. Fatty fish high in Omega-3s contribute to overall health and may reduce cancer risk.

“Maintaining a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle is essential in reducing cancer risk.”
