Donald Trump revealed why his son, Donald Jr., divorced Vanessa in 2018. The couple, married in 2005, shares five children. Vanessa later began dating golf legend Tiger Woods.
Trump stated he holds no grudges, saying, “I love Tiger and I love Vanessa. They had a great relationship.” He believes the split was due to political pressure, explaining, “I happen to think the relationship with my son was hurt very badly by the witch hunt [about] Russia, Russia, Russia and all the c**p they put Don through.”
Despite the divorce, Trump praised the former couple, saying, “Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship. They have five incredible children. All great athletes, all good students.” He found their separation “very sad” but still considers them both “great.”
Vanessa filed for an uncontested divorce on March 15, 2018. Trump also commented on her relationship with Woods but did not express any negativity.
