Valeria Levitin, dubbed the world’s thinnest woman, weighs just four stone at 5ft 8in—less than half the NHS’s recommended weight range. After years of battling anorexia, she’s now warning others not to follow in her footsteps. “I have received emails from young girls who want me to teach them how to be like me,” she told *The Sun*, but she refuses to encourage this dangerous path.
Originally from Russia and now living in Monaco, Valeria began dieting as a child due to her mother’s obsession with preventing obesity. At 16, after moving to Chicago, she began restricting her food intake further in a bid to fit in. A cruel comment during a school game—“We need to put Valeria’s big ar*e in the goal”—deepened her obsession with losing weight.
By 23, her dress size had dropped from 12 to 6, and at 24, weighing just six stone, she was banned from dancing due to injury risks. Despite seeing over 30 health professionals, she hit a low of 3st 10lbs and now can’t eat many foods without harm.
Still, Valeria hasn’t given up. “I want to stand up to anorexia,” she says, hoping to one day become a mother through surrogacy and find healing.
