Police arrested 20-year-old Ebenezer Worku in connection with the shooting of Jennifer James. He told officers he accidentally fired the gun while cleaning it in his car. Authorities say he suffers from “homicidal schizophrenia.” Worku is charged with first-degree murder and is being held on a $1.25 million bond.
Jennifer’s daughter, Ashley, called her “the most selfless mom” who gave everything for her children. A town memorial on May 14 honored James’ strength and enduring spirit.
