Thanks to better screening, more people survive cancer today. While these symptoms don’t confirm cancer, they deserve medical attention if they persist.
1. Unexplained Weight Loss
Sudden weight loss without diet or activity changes could be a warning sign. “If you lose ten pounds or more, you might not need to worry. However, in rare cases, it might be an early sign of cancer.”
2. Persistent Fatigue
Not your usual tiredness—this is extreme exhaustion that rest doesn’t fix. “Severe exhaustion that does not improve with rest may indicate an underlying health issue.” Cancer may cause this by depleting the body’s nutrients.
3. Recurring Fever
Fevers are common, but if they mainly strike at night, come with night sweats, or lack infection signs, talk to your doctor. “Certain features of recurrent fever may indicate a potential link to malignancy.”
