According to eyewitnesses, “the animal lifted him by the neck and threw him on to the ground, chewed the body and severed the head.” Shocked villagers watched as the camel continued its rampage. It took 25 people nearly six hours to restrain the frenzied animal with ropes and a truck.
Locals said this wasn’t the first sign of tension between the man and his camel, describing their relationship as “a storm waiting to break.”
Camels are typically seen as gentle, dependable creatures, but experts warn they “can become dangerously unpredictable when mistreated.” Despite their calm demeanor, camels possess incredible strength—and when pushed too far, they can become lethal.
This tragedy has renewed calls for better animal welfare in harsh desert conditions, where neglect can end in disaster.
