Ellen DeGeneres has made a “life-changing decision” to leave the U.S., selling her Montecito mansion and relocating to the English countryside. “I will not return to the United States,” she confirmed, citing political tensions and a need for peace.
She and wife Portia de Rossi now reside in the Cotswolds, embracing nature and a quieter life.
Her move follows the end of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2022 and backlash over workplace allegations. While she denied many claims, the controversy impacted her image, leading some to believe it influenced her departure.
