The couple, once worth only “$800,000 before moving into the White House in 2009,” has since built a $70 million fortune. Their wealth stems from book deals, including their autobiographies, as well as their entertainment company, which produces content for Netflix, and individual podcasts.
A potential divorce could threaten this empire, with sources warning it “might result in a costly endeavor.” Without a prenup, dividing assets could spark a “massive new conflict.”
During his presidency, Obama earned a “$400,000 base salary.” After leaving office, he receives a “$207,000 yearly pension.”
