Michael Brudenell-Bruce, the 98-year-old 8th Marquess of Ailesbury, died after falling from his bedroom window while letting his cat out. He “suffered a fatal head injury” on the concrete patio.
His longtime girlfriend found him “in a pool of blood.” The incident happened at his Wiltshire home.
Brudenell-Bruce was a relative of model Florence Brudenell-Bruce, known for dating Prince Harry.
The tragedy is believed to be a “terrible accident” with no suspicious circumstances.
He was remembered as a “kind and gentle man” by those close to him.
