A tragic helicopter crash near NYC’s Hudson River killed all six on board, including *Agustín Escobar, president of Siemens Spain*, his wife, and their three children. The accident happened around 3:15 p.m., just 17 minutes after takeoff from Wall Street Heliport. According to the tour company owner, “*He [the pilot] called in that he was landing and that he needed fuel… but 20 minutes later, he didn’t arrive*.”

The Bell 206L-4 helicopter, operated by New York Helicopter, crashed near Pier 40, reportedly after flying erratically. Witnesses described a “*sonic boom*” and the aircraft *“splitting in two”* before it plunged into the river. Emergency footage showed the helicopter sinking rapidly. Four people died on impact, and two later died in the hospital.
