A tragic car crash on April 6, 2025, claimed the lives of Reagan Dougan, 27, and her four young children on I-95 in McIntosh County, Georgia. The Jeep Cherokee they were traveling in struck the rear of another vehicle at high speed before crashing into a guardrail and catching fire. They were on their way to meet Reagan’s husband, Christian Dougan, in Florida.
“All five occupants… were pronounced deceased at the scene,” said the Georgia State Patrol. The children were aged nine, four, two, and three months. The other driver survived.Reagan’s neighbors in Raleigh, NC, and friends in Florida are grieving. Christopher “Jonesy” Butler-Jones called her a “devoted mother” who was “very loving, and kind,” adding, “She’s going to show you the brighter side of it.”
Neighbors remembered the children playing happily and Reagan’s caring nature, especially after helping others during Hurricane Milton. “Her kids were everything to her,” said Butler-Jones.A GoFundMe, launched by Christian’s stepmother, has raised over $26,000 toward funeral costs. She wrote, “We cannot even fathom the financial burden… Any amount is welcome.” Online tributes described the family as joyful and deeply loved. “Fly high sweet angels,” wrote Kyleah Miller.
