Shocking Ad Cautions Parents Against Sharing Photos of Their Kids Online

Deutsche Telekom’s campaign #ShareWithCare uses a powerful deepfake video titled “A Message from Ella” to raise awareness about sharenting—when parents share too much about their children online.

In the video, a digitally aged version of 9-year-old Ella confronts her parents: “You shared so much about me… but never asked if it was okay.” The campaign shows how innocent posts can be misused for identity theft, deepfakes, or worse.

It warns that by 2030, youth identity fraud could rise due to oversharing. “Your memories can become my nightmares,” Ella says, underlining the emotional cost of losing control over one’s digital footprint.

This thought-provoking video urges parents to reflect on how their online actions today can affect their children’s future.
