King Charles Praises Cancer Support Heroes
Reflecting on his own experience, King Charles said, “As one among those statistics myself, I can vouch for the fact that it can also be an experience that brings into sharp focus the very best of humanity.”
He honored the people and organizations providing cancer support: “The darkest moments of illness can be illuminated by the greatest compassion.” He closed with a heartfelt note: “You have my whole family’s deepest admiration and gratitude.”
Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer in January 2024, after prostate surgery. According to palace aides, his recovery is going “in a very positive direction.”
