Police have arrested 66-year-old Kathleen Heggs for allegedly murdering her grandsons, Max Johnson, 7, and Sam Johnson, 6, in their Coonabarabran, NSW home.
The boys were found in separate rooms after a concerning message was sent to the Department of Communities and Justice. Officers forced entry, finding Heggs, who reportedly attempted to harm herself.
She has been charged with two counts of murder and was denied bail. She is expected to appear at Parramatta Bail Court.
