Donald Trump’s latest checkup at Walter Reed confirmed he’s in “excellent” physical and cognitive health, according to the White House. It was his first annual exam since starting his second term. Doctors reported normal heart, lung, and neurological function, and no signs of depression or anxiety. He also scored perfectly on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, commonly used to spot early signs of dementia.
The report acknowledged a scar behind his ear from last year’s assassination attempt but otherwise noted normal head, throat, and hearing exams. Controlled conditions include high cholesterol, rosacea, and a past Covid-19 infection. A benign colon polyp was also listed. Trump takes a statin, low-dose aspirin, and topical treatments. His weight was recorded at 224 lbs and height at 6’2.5”, putting him in the “overweight” BMI range—an improvement from 2018’s “obese” classification.
Online reactions were mixed. One commenter wrote, “No way he’s 224 pounds.” Another noted, “That’s a generous number for a man who openly avoids exercise.” Still, some praised his mental sharpness at age 78, saying, “That’s not nothing.”
Trump said he felt “better than ever” and had “aced” his cognitive test. Dr. Mark Siegel called his progress “inspirational,” noting improved cholesterol, blood pressure, and overall vitality.
