Donald Trump removes ‘iconic’ Oval Office desk after Elon Musk’s son ‘Little X’s’ behaviour

Donald Trump has made another notable change since returning to office, this time involving the Oval Office furniture. He announced the removal of the Resolute Desk, a historic piece used by past presidents, including Joe Biden and Barack Obama. “A President, after election, gets a choice of 1 in 7 desks,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, though in reality, the choice is between six.

In its place, he has installed the C&O Desk, previously used by George H.W. Bush. Trump explained the Resolute Desk is being “lightly refinished—a vital job,” calling the replacement “beautiful, but temporary.”

The timing of this decision raised eyebrows, as it came just days after Elon Musk visited the White House with his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-12. During the visit, the child was seen fidgeting, babbling, and even picking his nose before appearing to wipe it on the desk. After the New York Post highlighted this, social media users reacted, with one commenting, “It was due with or without the kid’s snot.”

The White House has not provided further details on the refurbishment.
