The White House has released the results of President Trump’s latest physical, saying he *“remains in excellent health.”* Capt. Sean Barbabella, the White House physician, wrote, *“His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being,”* highlighting Trump’s regular public appearances and frequent golf games as beneficial.
Trump, now 78, underwent the exam at Walter Reed Hospital as a follow-up to last year’s limited checkup. His weight has dropped to 224 pounds from 244 in 2020, and his blood pressure measured 128/74. A neurological exam showed *“no abnormalities in his mental status,”* and the report stated, *“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health.”*
The report noted no major concerns except *“scaring [sic] on the right ear from a gunshot wound,”* a result of the 2024 assassination attempt. He also had a colonoscopy in July 2024, which found diverticulosis and a benign polyp.
Trump, who became the oldest person sworn into the presidency in January, commented, *“I have never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done!”* Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed, *“The president is in very good shape,”* and said he wasn’t placed under anesthesia during the procedures.
