5-year-old courageously carries sister out of burning home, then rushes back to help other family members.

When 5-year-old Noah woke up to find his Georgia home in flames, he didn’t panic. Despite smoke and fire in his bedroom, he calmly grabbed his 2-year-old sister and escaped through the only open window.

Noah didn’t stop there. He ran back into the burning house to rescue the family dog, then rushed to his uncle’s nearby home. Together, they helped the remaining six family members escape and called emergency services.

“We’ve seen children alert their families before,” said Fire Chief Dwayne Jamison. “But for a 5-year-old to be alert enough to do this… that’s pretty extraordinary.”
