Mother reacts to criticism over photo of breastfeeding toddler.

Recently, something unusual has happened in the Costco store – something that the shoppers were looking at, whisper and even shake their heads.

In the middle of a busy Costco, a mother named Trinati breastfed her toddler without hesitation, sparking both support and criticism. “I never hesitate to satisfy the needs of my child, no matter where we are,” she explained. Rather than hide, she had her son capture the moment in a photo and shared it online, aiming to normalize public breastfeeding.

Trinati often faces disapproving glances and even suggestions to breastfeed in “broom closets,” which she finds unacceptable. She’s used to hearing questions like, “How long are you planning to do it?” Her answer stays the same: “If my daughter needs me.” Some even joke she’ll still be nursing in kindergarten.

She rejects the stigma around breastfeeding, stating, “Really? Have you ever seen breast breastfeeding? My nipples are far from something that anyone would fantasize!” She added, “Right now they are more like UDDERS.”

Her Instagram post read: “The needs of my child always come before the discomfort or attempt to feel unsuitable for my child’s nutrition in public.” Her goal is clear: to promote acceptance and remind the world that feeding a child is never shameful.
