Terrifying Moment Theme Park Ride Detaches Right Before Opening

Cedar Point, dubbed “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World,” is preparing to unveil its most daring ride yet: Siren’s Curse.

Set to open in summer 2025, it’s the tallest, longest, and fastest tilt coaster in North America.

The ride’s standout feature? Riders stop on a track that appears disconnected, then tilt into a 90-degree vertical drop before launching into a 58 mph plunge. The park promises “13 weightless airtime moments, two 360-degree, zero-gravity barrel rolls and a high-speed ‘triple-down’ element.”

Inspired by mythical sirens of Lake Erie folklore, Siren’s Curse offers thrills that even seasoned coaster lovers might second-guess. “Come face-to-face with the siren’s call,” Cedar Point teases on its site.
